A typical tooth fairy letter template is a page with blanks: Dear ______, thank you for your ______ tooth. You fill it in with a pen, and it looks like exactly that. Ours works the other way around. Each of our 20 letters is a complete, hand-written template with the blanks built in, and the builder fills them for you as you type. Name, age, which tooth, where it was, the date, a brave moment, the reward, the fairy's name and even the time she flew in. If you leave something out, the letter quietly adjusts so there are no awkward gaps or half sentences. The result prints in a fairy script on a parchment design that looks finished, not filled in. Start with the classic note for a quick one, or the night flight for a little story. You can also edit any word before printing, so the template becomes your family's own letter.

“Thank you for leaving your tooth under your pillow tonight. It was one of the shiniest I have collected all week!”
From “The Classic Tooth Fairy Note”

Shown here for Mia. Yours will have your child's name and details.

  • Dear Mia,

Thank you for leaving your tooth under your pillow tonight. It was one of the shiniest I have collected all week!

I can tell you have been brushing every day. Your bottom front tooth was sparkling. I flew in very quietly at 2:14 a.m. so I wouldn't wake you.

I left a shiny coin for you. Keep smiling, keep brushing, and I'll see you next time a tooth wiggles loose.

    Love,

    Twinkle, the Tooth Fairy

  • Mia, guess where I flew tonight?

I left Fairy Hollow when the moon was high, flew over the sleeping clouds, followed the brightest star and landed right on your windowsill.

I found your first tooth waiting for me, just where you left it. It was a perfect tooth, and it is safe with me now.

In its place I have left a shiny coin. If you look closely, you might see a few sparkles I dropped on the way out.

    See you among the stars,

    Twinkle

    My Night Flight to You

Over the sleeping clouds, past the brightest star, right to your windowsill.

Questions parents ask

What should a tooth fairy letter template include?

A greeting with the child's name, the tooth, the date, a compliment, the reward and a fairy signature. Ours has all of these built in as fill-in fields.

What happens if I leave a field empty?

Optional details like the brave moment or the date simply drop out of the sentence, so the letter still reads naturally. Only the child's name and the tooth are required.

Can I edit the template text?

Yes. After filling in the details you can change any word in the letter before printing or publishing.

Is there a Word or PDF version?

You can print straight from your browser and choose Save as PDF to keep a file. The paid version includes a print-ready letter plus certificate.

Tonight's the night.

The tooth is under the pillow. The letter takes two minutes.
